Installation

Installing

Download mp3-finder installation package if you haven't already and run it! Follow the instructions. That's all! You may want to keep the installation package in case you need to reinstall mp3-finder later.

Updating

Download new version of mp3-finder from Sitex ltd. web site.
EXIT MP3-FINDER BEFORE RUNING INSTALLATION PACKAGE.
Run installation package with new version of mp3-finder and follow the instruction.
Remember! If you install mp3-finder in different directory you should manually delete previous version files.
After installing mp3-finder will use your last settings.

Uninstalling

Mp3-finder uninstalls just like any other Windows application!
If you don't know - there are two way:
1. Click on "Start" button, then "Settings", then "Control Panel" - it starts Windows Control Panel. Now double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon. Select mp3-finder in the list of installed programs and click Add/Remove button. Follow the instructions.
2. Simply click on Uninstall shortcut in mp3-finder program group menu. (Start->Programs->Sitex->Mp3-finder->Uninstall)

Finding Your MP3 files

Location

Before you start searching, you need to specify location. After installing default location is "C:\" - commonly disk with your Windows. Click on "Browse" button to open Browse folders dialog and select disk or folder you want to search in. There is an option to include subfolders in searching process or not. Just use "Include subfolders" checkbox.

Fast and Detail search

There are two mode of work "Fast" and "Detail". Fast means fast! Use it to find all mp3 files in specified location or if you want to find mp3 containing some string somewhere in TAGs.

Detail search lets you specify very strong searching criteria.

Start button

Press "Start" button to start searching process. When mp3-finder is searching mp3s "Start" changes to "Stop" and you can simply stop searching. When searching is over window will flash and "Stop" button became "Start" again.

MP3-finder commands

Mp3-finder has some tool buttons in left side of list. List also has popup menu with same functionality.

  This button opens Configure dialog window
• Play
  This button plays selected files
• Play in Winamp
  This button plays selected files in Winamp
• Report
  This button lets you save report in txt or csv format
• Create Playlist
  This button creates playlist for Winamp
• Copy
  This button copies selected files to Clipboard
• Delete
  This button deletes selected files
• TAG Editor
  This button opens TAG Editor dialog window
